Newton Abbot Town Crier
October 2017 - November 2017
Newton Abbot Town Council contacted me about producing a new Town Crier Costume for the new Town Crier. I was given a few ideas and was able to run freely with it. The embellishments are all done my hand.
World of Wearable Art Entry

Designing and making to a design brief set out by WOW. The Weta workshop design brief was Sci Fi - Think of the year 3034. Design and make an Alien or a Human thinking of the future fabric humans would wear.
Bob Mackie Interpretation

Interpreting a Bob Mackie design from 1965. It was designed for Lucille Ball for a Burlesque spoof show. I interpreted this design to wear at an up and coming festival.
Mythical Creature Interpretation

I wanted to explore the myth behind the Minotaur - I designed and made the head of a Minotaur. Made out of plastazote, faux fur and faux leather - We enjoyed having a photo shoot with it in the countryside behind my house.

Queen of Hearts - Alice in Wonderland theatre production

Design and make the Queen of Hearts for a student theatre production in Exeter. I used upholstery material as it would give a better overall look to the cloak and hand made the appliques myself.
